After the evacuation Tschernobyls fell a silence over the environment.

Humans withdrew themselves, nature took over control. Between the buildings of Prypjat trees rampantly grew, and the animal world found new dwellings in devastation.

Humans did not have reasons to enter the area and let it behind itself, but gnawing at the conscience did not want to stop. But stories over the atomic fall out made the round. Reports of strange creatures, results of the accident, became daily.

Some spoke also of left treasures in the area, which soon “the zone” was only called. Greed and knowledge thirst brought the “Stalker” on the plan: partly discoverers, partly mercenaries and partly treasure hunters. These courageous fools penetrated into the zone, in order to see, what could be saved. Which they found were beyond all imaginative power.

The zone… now, it is not only a circle with several kilometers of diameters and an atomic power plant in the center. It is something strange. Somewhat correctly strange. I doubt that somebody can give you a simple answer in the world. I have the impression that the zone is not even part of this world. It is different one, separated world - strangely and dangerously… and condemned attractively still to it. And do you know, why? Because one can become rich with luck. Die Stalker brachten seltsame, verstrahlte Objekte von ihren Streifzügen in der Zone mit. Diese “Artefakte” besitzen merkwürdige Eigenschaften. Sie zu bergen ist jedoch höchst riskant.

Artefactos

Doch die Stalker waren nicht die einzigen, die sich auf der Suche nach Reichtum und Glück in die Zone wagten. Dabei bildeten sich die verschiedensten Fraktionen. Die einen wollen die Geheimnisse erforschen, andere die Zone zerstören und viele lockt die pure Gier nach Reichtümern.

Grauenvoll entstellte Gestalten, teils Mensch, teils Tier, durchstreifen die Landschaft, begierig darauf, sich von allem zu nähren, was sie finden.

Mutantes

Stalker, Mutanten und Militärs durchstreifen das todbringende Gebiet der Zone. In diese Welt hinein tätigst du deine ersten, unsicheren Schritte in deinem Leben als Stalker.
